(Initially you will require a PSP to play these, but PS3 support is planned in the future. Sony's plan is to add around 10 games per month after the November launch.)
Cross Menu Bar Features:
User - Allows users to log in on their accounts. One account is the master account ('Parent Account'), but all accounts get their own settings.
Settings - All the obvious stuff is here (such as date/time setup and audio settings) and there's settings for chatting, display, and BD playback options. The System Update option can be found here too.
Photo - Contains a photo gallery. Unlike the PSP, photos here can be sorted by the user.
Music - Allows the user to play music either from a disc or from the hard rive.
Video - This is where playback of Blu-Ray and DVD movies can be found, and well as footage from the hard drive.
Game - Aside from the obvious (booting up PS1/2/3 games), you can organise PS3 and PS1/2 save data here, and launch games and demos from the hard drive.
Network - Allows you to access the Playstation Store, Internet Browser and stream content to PSP (Remote Play).
Friends - Contains your friends list and message box, and allows you to register new friends and see players you've played with recently.

Online play is free of charge,with exception of games like MMOs which would require their own subscription.
The on-screen keyboard is the same as PSP's, but adds predictive text and USB keyboard support.
You can stream content from PS3 to PSP, and eventually you will be able to do this from any hotspot
The Playstation network has integrated Xfire to see who's online with PS3
Games purchased online will cost $14.99 or less and can be shared with up to 5 PS3s
